Berry Red Installation

Location: Cadence by Dan Bark

Year: 2024

The Narrative: The project’s mandate was to investigate the chromatic potential of red within the confines of a secret mirror room foyer. This liminal space, a mandatory antechamber to the main dining area, offered a unique opportunity to conceive an environment that transcends the ordinary, a portal to an alternate realm.

Our previous installation focused on the interior aesthetic of the dining space. For this iteration, we sought to imbue the environment with a more visceral and experiential quality. Inspired by the rich tapestry of the fine dining experience, we elected to explore the chromatic and conceptual territory of wine pairing.

Our investigation delved into the spectrum of crimson, from the depth of red wine to the nuanced undertones of deep berry hues. We sought to capture the essence of these elements, translating their form—the geometric precision of berries and the sinuous flow of wine—into a visual language that would resonate with the connoisseur.
